COVID-19 Update
April 17, 2020
Nearly month after production halted around the nation, Boeing is starting up commercial aircraft lines, the big 3 automakers are beginning talks of how to best reopen, and China is easing restrictions on international traffic. News like this is encouraging, especially as the conversation shifts on how we implement a safe and measured plan for re-opening the economy.
Please continue to follow the advice of the CDC and WHO including social distancing and regular hand washing. Stay healthy!

Our Response to COVID-19
April 3, 2020
As the global COVID-19 situation evolves, our thoughts remain with those affected by this pandemic and with the healthcare workers & first responders who are tirelessly working to save lives. This virus doesn’t discriminate between age, gender, nationality, race or religion; unifying people from all backgrounds in the fight against it.
DH Sutherland is part of the US Government’s Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and we are proud to be considered an essential business; allowing us to continue supporting our industry partners. It has been exciting to see some of these industry partners utilizing advanced materials & processes such as 3D printers to create face shield frames, and automated cutting machines to create medical gowns, booties, etc. For our part, we’ll continue to provide the appropriate updates below from our business partners, so that we can navigate through this together.

After almost 70 years in business, we’ve seen and weathered a lot: longshoreman strikes, gas rationing, the Cold War, dot.com bubble, financial crisis & now COVID-19. It sounds trite, but this too shall pass. Humanity and progress cannot be stopped when we are unified by people, relationships & doing the right thing.
DHSutherland wishes that everyone stays healthy and safe in these uncertain times. Now more than ever, our focus is on supporting our partners, internal team, customers & suppliers who have been affected by the COVID-19 outbreak. We’ve tested & successfully transitioned our team to work remotely. Only essential team members will remain on site to maintain continuity of product in/product out to ensure your production line continues as promised.
Additionally, because the COVID-19 situation is so dynamic, we’ve created a new section on our website to share supplier updates as they become available. Our customer facing team has links to this in their email signatures & it can also be accessed on our website and LinkedIn pages.
Last, but absolutely not least, please follow the guidance of the CDC & WHO for best practices to stay healthy and well. Let’s all participate in making COVID-19 a footnote.
