Day 2 at AIX Hamburg

By Bill Marter

Day 2 is in the books! Did I mention this show was enormous? Next year I’m going to start training months in advance.

I was considerably more organized today than I was yesterday. I was able to meet and discuss applications with several customers & exhibitors as well as attend several of the panel discussions. The discussion on The Outlook for Aircraft Interiors was especially thoughtful and informative. It illustrated the hurdles that interiors manufacturers will face while adapting to evolving technologies and markets. The impressive displays these manufacturers have brought to the exhibition are evidence that their commitment is strong, and the future of air travel is bright.

Pleasantly, I’ve found that exhibitors are eager to discuss ways that we may be able to assist them in their processes and applications. Even when I ran into someone who was not able to answer my questions, I was tactfully “passed” to a colleague that was better versed in the meaning of syntactic & structural adhesives and was able to answer all my questions.

Many thanks to the Safran Group, Collins Aerospace, Airworthy, Encore, Nordam Group, HAECO, Thompson Aero Seating, EFW, AIM Altitude, & Hutchinson employees who took the time to talk with me about DH Sutherland and the products & services that we offer.

I also wanted to thank the L&L Products European team for great support and a very nice lead. Team Schneller, Mike & Greg, thanks for taking the time to discuss our business proposal.

Well it’s now time to soak my feet and prepare for tomorrow; did I mention this show was enormous?
