BONDERITE M-CR 1201 (known as ALODINE 1201) is a nonflammable, chromic acid based, coating chemical that will produce a chrome conversion coating on aluminum and its alloys. BONDERITE M-CR 1201 (known as ALODINE 1201) is approved to MIL-DTL-81706 for brush application only. BONDERITE M-CR 1201 (known as ALODINE 1201) is used as received for MIL-DTL-5541 work.
